“Where Writers and Poets Unleash Imagination”.

Writers and Poets:

I started writing poems when I was just 8 years old. My first poem “My happiness around you” is for a girl which I really like. She was my neighbor, we used to play a lot everyday at the park. I was 4 year younger than her still I like to be around her everyday. Whether my day was good or bad, there was still a joy in my mind to meet her in the evening. I always feel jealous when we play house games and she becomes some other persons wife rather than me. I want to be with her every time. When I wrote “My happiness around you” I described about her beauty and innocence behind that beauty.

Her smile is sunrise, gentle aura and soothing sights.
Beauty is not the only thing she carries, kindness and love she also defines.
Those eyes were shining, innocence was dripping.
Sky was reflecting where the beauty lies.

Her laugh was like birds singing, lovely moment a dance of delight.
Strand of hair, a cascade of roses beneath the divine.
Cheeks were pink adorned with a rosy blush.
Lips were red like a bloody red shine.

Her smile is sunrise, gentle aura and soothing sights.
My happiness around you which really I can't define.

This was the first time I ever wrote something and that was for some one else. I gave this to her and she replied, “Thanks, Zohan I will never forget about you and your poem”, it was the day when she was living for abroad to pursue her higher studies.

Writing for some one else made me realize I can also write for me and also it is a good source of defining the truth which I can’t explain verbally but can explain with the help of writing. In the words of Gulzar “सुकून मिलता है दो लफ्ज़ कागज़ पर उतर कर छींक भी लेता हूं और आवाज भी नहीं होती है”! The important thing while writing which I personally realized is you should know how to define your thoughts and feeling while writing. Its not like picked up a pen and notebook and sat down to write. It is important that you should have vision before writing. You should know how to define a person’s feeling.

प्यार से एक सवाल करो आखिर क्यों यह दर्द देता है? 
सवाल सुनने पर भी अनसुना क्यों कर देता है?
न जाने क्यों ऐसा होता है, कहीं खो से जाते हैं हम? 
अनजाने चेहरे को देख बेबस से क्यों हो जाते हैं हम?
सवाल तो बहुत है आखिर जवाब है कहां?
"प्यार" से भी किया था एक सवाल,
आखिर क्यों अनसुना सा है ये जहां?

From very beginning I have so many questions? What is this, how is this, why is that, lots of questions. After sometime I realized all the answers of my questions were hidden within me. Writing is not only what you see, it is also what you feel and realize and want to express your emotions to others which can’t be shown verbally.

It was then when I write everything myself. After sometime I started reading poetries of other poets. In Hindi I like to read Gulzar and in English William Shakespeare. When Gulzar writes “तुझे बेहतर बनाने की कोशिश में तुझे ही वक्त नहीं दे पा रहे हैं हम, माफ करना ए जिंदगी तुझे ही जी नहीं पा रहे हैं हम! it was like wrecking ball to me. William Shakespeare, “Ignorance is the curse of God. Knowledge is the wing here with we fly to heaven”. These two poets are my favorites.

गुलज़ार की कुछ पसंदीदा पंक्तियाँ,

• “तेरे जाने से तो कुछ बदला नहीं रात भी आई और चांद भी था मगर नींद नहीं”!
• “कैसे करूं भरोसा गैरों के प्यार पर यहां अपने ही लेते हैं मजे अपनों की हार पर”!
• “वक्त रहता नहीं कहीं भी टिक कर आदत इसकी भी इंसान जैसी है”!
• “पूछो हमसे शायरी क्या होती है हर लव्स में बर्बाद हुए हैं हम उसके लिए”!
• “जिन्हें वाकई बात करना आता है वो लोग अक्सर खामोश रहते हैं”!

Now most of my time I started spending on writing and reading other poets. But the thing is everyday, every time I am feeling different and other poets aura is mesmerizing. Sometimes I feel joy sometimes I feel sorrow. There is a part of who just wants to write what I am feeling without any hesitation which I learned from other poets. I want to show the world what is the reality of a person who can not describe his feeling verbally but when he writes he pours his heart in it. There are few lines which I wrote when I fall in love for the first time.

All that whispering through your eyes,
pure love talks through shiny skies.
Rhythmic quotes are just your tone,
The symphony of life, under these pretty lights.

Love grows with every blink of your eyes,
Makes my world listening those pretty little lies.
Pink dress white shoes matches every time,
Your beauty becomes more brighter in the world full of disguise.

All that whispering through your eyes,
pure love talks through shiny skies.

For every single person first love matters the most especially poets. Poets were also in love for the first time, whether you can say it was attraction or attachment but you think about that person who may be or may not be with you. I am not saying first love is everything (but for some poets it is) this was the only time you will be in love but this was the first affection of your life which is besides your family members.

There will be time when you feel like every wrong thing is happening only to you. But it is just a test of our patience. How patiently and calmly we face our problems. Life is not simple as it is shown in pictures. It is challenging, you have to work hard for your dreams which you want to come true. So instead of cursing your luck you should work hard for you dreams and goals of your life. When I was at my low I wrote some lines these goes as:

If I fall don't loose faith in me.
I can only survive, with you in my dreams.
Dream of you will not be the same,
if I loose you I'll be in pain.

We have to be in our own world,
the world of love and trove. (a collection of valuable items).
Not afraid to close my eyes this time,
you were their leaving behind every ties.

As one day when sunshine knocks our door,
Acceptance is all we need, so let it go.
Dreamy eyes from which we see,
Under moonlit skies, where fantasies flee.

Setbacks are in every field of life. You fail every time but the thing is are learning from your failure. For me failure is not a setback its like door that closes whenever I am doing something wrong. It gives me strength to find another door and keep on going. In life we should appreciate what we have instead of what we don’t. In the words of Gulzar “मिलता तो बहुत कुछ है इस जिंदगी में बस हम गिनती उसी की करते हैं जो हासिल ना हो सका”! So instead of being a crybaby, work hard for your aims and goals.

Can't deny, each defines.
What makes me feel so disguise?
Around your head, by your bead,
why I feel like paradise?
We'll meet again, stuck all,
staring eye to eye.
I ain't gonna lie, you'll be mine,
let me die, just let me die.

This was the latest poem which was not complete yet but still in the process I am writing. It was the feeling of a person who knows he has to accept but the circumstances are not allowing him to accept. It makes him anxious all the time, and can’t bear the pain of it. At the end he wants everything to be over doesn’t matter if has to loose his own life.

In conclusion, from my experience of writing and reading other poets, a person can not write if he/she try to do it as a work. It is a work of imagination, weaving your ideas into words, reading other poems, having a powerful vision of dreams. Every one can write easily but what matters the most is idea behind you writing, is it practical in nature, effecting other feelings, are you writing what other feels etc. Throughout the process of writing the most important thing is the feelings of the people who are reading. Otherwise there are so many poets who are good writers but still unknown to the world.
